Chocolate Chip Lava Cakes






These are meant to be made in normal muffin tins but I prefer making everything in mini so I made these in mini ! 

Recipe: 

Cookie Dough:

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1/2 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Chocolate filling:

1 (11.5 oz) bag milk chocolate chips 

1) Mix everything together in a bowl. 
2) take a ziplock bag and put the chocolate chips inside flat so there is only one layer of chips. Seal the  ziplock bag. put in the microwave for 30 seconds. Flip the bag on to the other side and put in for another 30 seconds. Keep doing this until the chips are melted (I thought this was weird but it actually melts chocolate chips amazingly!!!)
3) Make sure to spray your pans whichever ones you use. 
4) Take your  muffin tins (either big or little) and fill them about half way with cookie dough.
5) take your ziplock of chips and cup off the corner. Pipe chocolate into the middle of each muffin.
6) Cover each muffin with more cookie dough to cover all the chocolate. 
7) bake at 350 for about 15 minutes (for mini ones about 10)
8) you can serve hot and with ice cream or just leave plain. I like drizzling chocolate on top of mine.
