Cake Balls

Cake balls are seriously one of the easiest things to make!!!

You can make cake balls with any cake mix and any icing and anything on the outside. For these cake balls I used a chocolate cake mix. You simply make the cake the way you normally would. When the cake and finished baking crumble it up and mix it with any icing you want. you can decide how much you would like (you want to have at least enough to make your balls stick together). I made these cake balls all chocolate so I used a chocolate cake mix and chocolate icing. For the green ones I added some mint extract into the icing so they were a little minty! Once you are finished mixing the icing and cake form balls and freeze them. When they are pretty frozen it is time to dip them. I like to just cover my cake balls with chocolate. So I melt the chocolate and dunk the cake balls in. Then I freeze them again. As I said by my peanut butter balls I like to decorate my cake balls by just making simple confectioner's sugar icing and drizzling it on the balls. You can also dip them in sprinkles or anything else.

Simple directions (if you don't want to read a lot):
1) make any cake mix as you normally would
2) mix in any icing you would like
3) form into balls and freeze
4) make any coating for the outside (I like to just melt chocolate)
5) make any decoration you would like (or you can just keep plain)
6) freeze again and enjoy!
