This weeks parsha is parshas toldos. In toldos Yaakov and Esav are born. Esav is born first and it is said that he was red. So I made red velvet for toldos. I made it a whole red velvet shabbas and made multiple different red velvet desserts!
Makes about 6 dozen
Recipe:
1 cup margarine
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
3 3/4 cup flour
1/4 cup cocoa
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
red food coloring
white chocolate
chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350. Mix all the ingredients together excluding the white chocolate and chocolate chips.
Roll cookies into balls and place on cookie sheets. Using your thumb make a thumbprint in each ball. Bake for 10 minutes.
When cookies are done make another indentation in each cookie if the original indentation has disappeared.
Melt the white chocolate and pour some into each indentation. Melt the chocolate chips and drizzle some on top of each cookie.
Chill cookies for 30 minutes to set the chocolate.
