Apple Crumb Cake

Recipe:

Apples:

2 tbsp margarine
3 medium apples (Or more if you like a lot of apple!)

Peel the apples and cut into slices. In a sauce pan melt the margarine and then mix in apples on a medium heat and allow the apples to cook until they are soft. When they are soft allow apples to cool.

Topping:

2 1/4 cup all purpose flour
1 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup sugar
3 tsp cinnamon
1 cup melted margarine

Mix together and refrigerate until ready to use.

Cake:

1/2 cup margarine
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
2/3 cup milk (or heavy cream)

Mix everything together and pour 1/2  batter into greased 9inch spring form pan. Sprinkle a layer of topping crumbs onto the batter. Pour the remainder of the batter on top of the crumbs. Next layer the cooled apples. Lastly pour the rest of the topping on top of the apples. Cover loosely and bake for 45 minutes on 350. Uncover and bake an addition 15-20 minutes.

If you would like you can drizzle with a glaze or Caramel Sauce
