Recipe:
Crumb topping:
1/2 cup margarine softened
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 2/3 cup flour
Cookies:
10 tbsp margarine
1/3 cup shortening (I replaced with same amount margarine)
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
2 tsp baking powder
3 1/3 cup flour
Preheat oven to 350.
Make crumb topping and refrigerate while making cookie dough.
Mix all ingredients together for the cookie dough. Roll dough into balls and place on cookie sheet. Make an indentation in each cookie with either a finger or spoon. Fill the indentation with crumb topping. I put a lot because it melts into the cookie a little. Also in the middle of baking you can add more crumb.
Bake for 15 minutes.
Once cookies are cooled you can sprinkle with confectioners sugar if you would like.
